Meetings are held every 3rd Thursday from April-October (except July), at the Hartford Town Hall.

We have taken on several new projects in recent years. Hartford Garden Friends is always looking for people to join our group. Our activities include:

• preparing the soil for planting

• selecting and planting flowers and shrubs

• watering

• weeding

• deadheading

• preparing the garden for winter

• community outreach

Come and get your hands dirty!

Whether you know nothing about growing plants or you can name every kind, we welcome everyone. Some members share one garden and others are the single caretaker of a plot. We also welcome help with special short-term projects such as digging up old shrubs and planting new ones.
